Proudman Oceanographic Laboratory The former Proudman Oceanographic Laboratory (POL) is based in Brownlow Street, Liverpool, England . It merged with the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton (NOCS) in April 2010 .

North Western Hotel, Liverpool The Radisson RED Hotel Liverpool opened in 1871 as the North Western Hotel . The building is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building .
