The area that was to become Norfolk was settled in pre-Roman times, with Palaeolithic settlers as early as 950,000 years ago. A Brittonic tribe, the Iceni, emerged in the 1st century BC. During the Roman era roads and ports were constructed throughout the area and farming was widespread. By the time of the Domesday Book survey it was one of the most densely populated parts of the British Isles.

Norfolk Norfolk is a rural and non-metropolitan county in East Anglia . It borders Lincolnshire to the northwest, Cambridgeshire to the west and southwest, and Suffolk to the south . Its northern and eastern boundaries are the North Sea and The Wash . The county town is the city of Norwich .

East Dereham Windmill Norwich Road Mill or Fendick’s Mill is a Grade II listed tower mill at East Dereham, Norfolk. It was most recently restored and reopened to visitors in 2013.

Breckland District The district derives its name from the Breckland landscape region, a gorse-covered sandy heath of south Norfolk and north Suffolk. The term “Breckland” dates back to at least the 13th century. The district is predominately rural, with five market towns and over 100 villages.

University of East Anglia F.C. University of East Anglia Football Club is a football club based in Norwich, England. They are currently members of the Eastern Counties League Division One and play at Aldiss Park, groundsharing with Dereham Town.
