A denarius, a silver Roman coin, was found in the parish. There might have been a Saxon farmstead in the area of Oat Eddish farm. Walgherton appears in the Domesday Book of 1086 as “Walcretune” and was held by William Malbank.

Stapeley House Stapeley House was built in 1778 and remodelled in 1847–48 by Anthony Salvin . It has subsequently been converted for use as offices . The house is constructed in brick with ashlar dressings and it has a slate roof .

Delves Hall Delves Hall, also known as Doddington Castle, is a fortified structure in Doddington Park to the north of Doddington Hall. It is designated by Historic England as a Grade I listed building.

St John’s Church, Doddington St John’s Church is located off Hunsterson Road in the grounds of Doddington Hall, Cheshire. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Nantwich, the archdeaconry of Macclesfield, and the diocese of Chester. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

St Chad’s Church, Wybunbury Wybunbury Tower is what remains of the building formerly known as St Chad’s Church. The body of the original church has been demolished but the tower still stands. The current church is located in a modern building on a different site in the village.

Hatherton Flush Hatherton Flush is a Site of Special Scientific Interest by the River Weaver. It is protected for its variety of wetland plants. The site was assessed as being in an “unfavourable”/”recovering” condition in 2008.

Hankelow Hall Hankelow Hall is a former country house to the north of the village of Hankeow, Cheshire, England. It was built in the 18th century and is located in the area of the Cheshire town.
