Thundridge derives from the Old English Þunres hrycg = “ridge belonging to the god Thunor or Thor” Roman and Saxon remains found in the adjacent estate known as “Youngsbury” just a few hundred yards away from the old location. The 15th-century church tower of the “Thundridge Old Church” of All Hallows and Little Saint Mary is now under threat from vandalism, decay and an ecclesiastical desire to divest itself of the cost and liability of maintenance.

St Mary’s Church, Ware St Mary’s Church is a grade I listed parish church in Ware, Hertfordshire, England. It was built in the 1930s and is now a Grade I listed church.

Fanhams Hall Fanhams Hall is an 18th-century Queen Anne House-style country house in Ware, Hertfordshire. It is a Grade II* listed building which is now operating as a hotel. The interior is decorated in the Arts and Crafts style with plasterwork by L A Turner.

Wodson Park F.C. Wodson Park Football Club is a football club from Ware, Hertfordshire. The men’s section competed in the Spartan South Midlands League, but withdrew in October 2019.

Hanbury Manor Hanbury Manor is a converted late-Victorian country house and adjoining golf course in Thundridge, north of Ware, Hertfordshire. It is part of a leisure retreat and country club owned by Marriott Hotels.

Youngsbury Youngsbury House is a Grade II listed house near Wadesmill, Hertfordshire. The stable block is Grade II* listed. The house was built in about 1745 by David Poole, with 97 acres of grounds.

Barwick, Hertfordshire Barwick, Great Barwick and Little Barwick are hamlets in the civil parish of Standon in Hertfordshire. They are near the A10 road and the village of Much Hadham and the hamlet of Latchford.

Ware F.C. Ware F.C. is a football club established in 1892 and based at Wodson Park in Ware, Hertfordshire, England. Currently members of the Southern League Division One Central.
