The Rodings history


The Rodings are the remnants of a single Anglo-Saxon community known as the Hroðingas. The villages are recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Rodinges in the |Hundred of Dunmow. In 1914 the parishes came under the Diocese of Chelmsford.
