Coates medieval settlement Coates-by-Stow is a deserted medieval settlement in Lincolnshire. It is a Scheduled Monument and is in a hamlet east of the village of Stow.

Stow, Lincolnshire Stow (or archaically, Stow-in-Lindsey) is a small village and civil parish within the West Lindsey district of Lincolnshire. It is 11 miles (18 km) north-west of the city of Lincoln and 6 miles (10 km) south-east of Gainsborough. The total resident population was 355 at the 2001 census, increasing to 365 at the 2011 census.
