Honour of Peverel Honour of Peverel is part of the historic feudal barony held by the Norman family. The honour was granted to William the Conqueror (c. 1050 – 1115) and consisted of 162 manors including Bolsover Castle. The Honour is recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086.

Bolsover Castle Bolsover Castle is in the north-east of the English county of Derbyshire. Built in the early 17th century, the present castle lies on the earthworks and ruins of the 12th-century medieval castle.
