Sharples was recorded in documents as Charples in 1212, Sharples and Scharples. The manor was part of the Barony or Lordship of Manchester in the Middle ages and was separated and then further divided into shares by subinfeudation. Seven Acres Country Park, Bolton Seven Acres Country Park is a country park and Local Nature Reserve in Bolton, Greater Manchester. It lies between the areas of Tonge and Breightmet, and is dissected by Bradshaw Brook. The park is more than 300 years old and is depicted on maps dating back to 1764.
