Two places, or manors, mentioned in the Domesday Book — Sall and Stinton. The latter is considered a lost or deserted settlement, which was in the vicinity of what is now Salle Place. Salle was the winner of Norfolk’s Best Kept Village competition in 1999.

St Michael the Archangel’s Church, Booton St Michael the Archangel’s Church is a redundant Anglican church near Booton, Norfolk. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a Grade II* listed building. The church stands in an isolated position 1 mile (1.6 km) to the east of the village.

Salle Park Salle Park is the home of Sir John Woolmer White, 4th Baronet. The estate has been owned by the White family for over 100 years. The house is a Grade II* listed building, and the park and garden are Grade II listed.
