Bassenfell Manor Bassenfell Manor is a manor house overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake in England’s Lake District. It is used as a Christian residential centre hosting school groups, youth groups, church groups and holidays for individuals and families.

Setmurthy Setmurthy is a civil parish in Allerdale, Cumbria, England, historically part of Cumberland, within the Lake District National Park. The spelling “Satmurthawe” is seen in 1473. The River Derwent forms the northern and eastern boundary of the parish, separating it from Blindcrake. The main settlement is the hamlet of Dubwath.

Ling Fell Ling Fell is a small hill in the north west of the Lake District. Its name derives from the fact that it is largely covered in heather, also known as “ling” The summit has good views of the town of Cockermouth.

Lord’s Seat Lord’s Seat is a fell in the North Western Fells. It is the highest of the group of hills north of Whinlatter Pass in the Lake District. The slopes are extensively forested.

Bassenthwaite Lake Bassenthwaite Lake is 4 miles (6.4 km) long and 0.75 miles (1 km) wide. It is fed by, and drains into, the River Derwent. The lake lies at the foot of Skiddaw, near the town of Keswick. The A66 runs roughly north–south along the western side of the lake.

Broom Fell Broom Fell is a small hill in the English Lake District. It lies on a ridge connecting Lord’s Seat and Graystones, but is rarely climbed. Alfred Wainwright accorded it the status of a separate fell in his guidebook series.

Sale Fell Sale Fell is one of the smallest Wainwrights in the Lake District. It offers gentle walking and lovely views across Bassenthwaite Lake to Skiddaw.

Bassenthwaite Bassenthwaite is at the foot of Skiddaw, one of the highest mountains in England at 3,054 feet. The village contains many elements of the archetypal English village including a green, primary school and a stream that runs through it.
