Ystrad Peithyll is the remains of a small 12th-century motte-and-bailey castle. The castle was attacked and destroyed by followers of Gruffydd ap Rhys in the early 12th century.

Nanteos is an 18th-century former country house in Llanbadarn-y-Creuddyn, near Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, Wales. The current building was constructed between 1738 and 1757 for the Powell family. The family occupied the house for some 200 years up until the last of the Powells, Margaret Powell, died in 1951.
