The Hulton Park Estate was home to the Hulton family since 1167. The estate was rich in coal mines. Hulton Bank Colliery, otherwise known as Pretoria Pit, was open from 1901 to 1934. In 1819, the magistrate William Hulton ordered the Yeomanry Cavalry in to arrest William Hunt as he addressed the demonstration at St Peter’s Field in Manchester.

The area of Over Hulton is 1,300 acres (5.3 km) of mainly arable land. The underlying rocks are the middle coal measures of the Lancashire Coalfield. The Logistics North industrial area was developed in the 2010s, adjacent to the M61 motorway.

Derby Barracks, Bolton Derby Barracks is a former military installation in Fletcher Street, Bolton, Greater Manchester. It is located in the centre of the city’s former military base.

Swan Lane Mills Swan Lane Mills is a former cotton mill complex in Bolton, Greater Manchester. All three mills were designed by Stott and Sons of Oldham. The double mill (Nos. 1 and 2) was the largest spinning mill in the world.

Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Bolton Shree Kutch Satsang Swaminarayan Temple (Bolton) is a three storied three-story building. The original structure was demolished and rebuilt in 1993. The temple was officially opened in 1973 and opened in 1975.

Pike’s Lane Pike’s Lane was the home ground of Bolton Wanderers between 1880 and 1895. It was the venue of the first-ever goal scored in league football anywhere in the world.

Great Boys Colliery Great Boys Colliery was a coal mine operating on the Manchester Coalfield in the second half of the 19th century. It was sunk on Great Boys farm, which in 1778 was described as a “messuage with eight Cheshire acres of land” The offices and lamproom for the pit occupied the building that is now the Colliers Arms public house, on Sale Lane.

Little Hulton (ward) Little Hulton (ward) is an electoral ward of Salford, England. It is represented in Westminster by Barbara Keeley MP for Worsley and Eccles South.

St Paul’s Church, Peel St Paul’s is an active Anglican parish church in Little Hulton, Greater Manchester. It is part of the Diocese of Manchester and is a Grade II listed building.

Tyldesley Top Chapel Top Chapel was built in 1789 on a site of 1,300 square yards at the top of Tyldesley Banks opposite the Square. The site and building materials were all provided by Thomas Johnson. It was properly known as “The Lady Huntingdon Chapel” but became known as Top Chapel because of its position.

Tyldesley Urban District Tyldesley cum Shakerley Urban District was, from 1894 to 1974, a local government district in Lancashire, England.
