Mellor Mill Mellor Mill, also known as Bottom’s Mill, was a cotton mill in Marple, Greater Manchester built by Samuel Oldknow in 1793. It was a six-storey, 42-foot wide and 210-foot (64 m) long mill. It reached its peak production in 1804, when 10,080 spindles were operating.

Built in the late 19th century, it was taken over by Lancashire Cotton Corporation in the 1930s and sold on. Renamed the Stockport Paper Mill they survived into the 21st century when they were demolished to be replaced by modern businesses.

Our Lady and the Apostles Church, Stockport Our Lady and the Apostles Church is a Roman Catholic Parish church in the Edgeley area of Stockport, Greater Manchester. It was built from 1903 to 1905 and replaced St Philip and St James Church, built in 1803, which was the first permanent Catholic church to be built in Stockport after the English Reformation.
