The name Perrott comes from the River Parrett. Evidence of Roman and Iron Age settlement in the village. The manor was held just over the border in Dorset. The parish was part of the hundred of Houndsborough.

North Perrott Manor House was built in 1877 by Thomas Henry Wyatt for P.M. Hoskyns. It has been designated as a listed building after World War II.

Whitevine Meadows is a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest. It consists of a nationally rare type of neutral grassland together with adjoining areas of scrub and ancient woodland. The Whitevine meadow is unusual in being one of only three British localities where the grass Gaudinia fragilis is a prominent and established component of the sward.

North Perrott Cricket Club Ground North Perrott Cricket Club Ground is a former List A cricket ground. It hosted a single Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy match in 2001 between Somerset Cricket Board and Wales Minor Counties. The ground has also hosted Somerset County Cricket Club and Board for numerous other matches.

Christ Church, Crewkerne Christ Church was a Church of England church in Crewkerne, Somerset. It was constructed in 1852–1854 to the designs of James Mountford Allen. The church was demolished in 1975 and the site is now occupied by a residential development.

Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, West Chinnock The Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a Church of England church in West Chinnock, Somerset. It has 13th-century origins but was largely rebuilt in 1889–90 to the design of Charles Kirk. It is Grade II listed building and now forms part of the Ham Hill Churches Benefice.

Church of St Margaret, Middle Chinnock The Anglican Church of St Margaret in Middle Chinnock, Somerset, was built in the 12th century. It is a Grade II* listed building.
