North Ormsby is documented in the Domesday account as “Ormesbi” A Gilbertine priory dedicated to Saint Mary was founded as a double house between 1148 and 1154 and dissolved in 1538.

“The White Lady of North Ormsby” is a lifesize statue in the grounds of Abbey Farm. It was erected in 1850 to commemorate the death of a lady in a riding accident. Near Mill Farm is the site of a First World War military airfield.

Ludborough Ludborough is a village and civil parish in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire. It is situated approximately 5 miles (8 km) north from Louth, and at the eastern end of the A18 road. The Prime Meridian passes to the east of the village.

Lincolnshire Wolds Railway S&T department Lincolnshire Wolds Railway Signals and Telecommunications Department installs, maintains and repairs all the signalling and telecommunications on the preserved heritage railway. The department looks after the railways two functioning signal boxes at Ludborough and North Thoresby.
