North Bradley history
North Bradley was part of the manor of Steeple Ashton, in the hundred of Whorwellsdown. It was within Selwood Forest until 1300. The manor was used mainly as dower or to provide annuities for younger daughters of the Tylney-Long Baronets of Draycot Cerne.
North Bradley geography / climate
North Bradley village is close to Trowbridge but retains a distinct identity, being separated from the town by small fields. The north–south road through the village was formerly the A363 but this was diverted to the north in the late 1990s when White Horse Business Park was developed. Nearby villages include Southwick, Yarnbrook and Rode.

Southwick Court
Southwick Court is a Grade II* listed moated medieval manor house at the centre of a system of fields and water meadows. It has remained a private residence under a succession of owners for at least 800 years. The current house dates from the late 16th century but its gatehouse is late 15th century.
Westbury railway station
