The township of Newchurch stretched from Bacup to Rawtenstall, and in 1511 it was recorded as having a population of 1,000 people. St Paul’s Church, Constable Lee St Paul’s Church is in Burnley Road, Constable Lee, Rawtenstall, Lancashire. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Rossendale, the archdeaconry of Bolton, and the diocese of Manchester.
