Hipping Hall Hipping Hall is a country house hotel on the border of Lancashire, Cumbria and North Yorkshire. Opened in 2005 by chemist-turned-hotelier Andrew Wildsmith. The five-star retreat dates back to the 15th century and has nine bedrooms.

Over Burrow Roman Fort Over Burrow Roman Fort is the modern name given to a former Roman fort. The first castra is thought to have been founded in the first century AD. The fort’s Roman name is not known, but is assumed to be one of those recorded in Route X of the Antonine Itinerary. Today it is the site of the 18th-century country house Burrow Hall.

Burrow Hall Burrow Hall is a large 18th-century country house in Burrow-with-Burrow, Lancashire. It lies in the Lune Valley on the A683 some 2 miles (3 km) south of Kirkby Lonsdale. The hall was built over the site of a Roman Fort, the initial construction of which is thought to date to the Flavian period.
