Napier Park was built on the former site of the Vauxhall Motors Car Factory. The factory first operated on the site in 1905. Production ceased on the car factory site in 2002 and the large area of the town was cleared and laid empty for over ten years. In 2014 planning permission to redevelop the site was granted and construction started in the late 2010s.

The power station was operated by the Luton Corporation until the nationalisation of the British electricity industry in 1948 .

Radio LaB Radio LaB is now a full-time radio station with a community licence . It is managed by students at the Luton town centre campus of the University of Bedfordshire in Luton, Bedfordshire .

Barnfield, Luton Barnfield is a suburb of Luton, England . The area is roughly bounded by Old Bedford Road/Cromer Way roundabout to the north, Wardown Park and Wardown Crescent to the south, the A6 to the west .
