Plas Brondanw Plas Brondanw (grid reference SH616422) in Garreg, Llanfrothen, Gwynedd, North Wales, was the family home of Clough Williams-Ellis, creator of the Italianate village Portmeirion. The gardens, in a series of garden rooms enclosed by yew hedges and open lawns, are linked by carefully planned vistas.

Dinas Emrys Dinas Emrys (Welsh for ‘Emrys’s city’) is a rocky and wooded hillock near Beddgelert in Gwynedd, north-west Wales. Little remains of the Iron Age hillfort or castle structures that once stood here. Some believe the castle was erected by Llewelyn the Last to guard the road to the mountain pass of Snowdon.
