Muston, North Yorkshire history
Muston is listed in the Domesday Book as “Mustone”, in the Torbar Hundred of the East Riding of Yorkshire. The settlement included seven households, twenty-one villagers, six smallholders, and ten ploughlands. In 1823 Muston was a village and civil parish in the Wapentake of Dickering. The 1863 parish church was designated a Grade II listed building in 1966.

Butlin’s Filey
Filey Holiday Camp was a Butlin’s holiday camp near Filey, North Yorkshire. Construction of the camp began in 1939. From 1939 to 1945, the camp was used as a military training base, as RAF Hunmanby Moor. The camp was served by its own railway branch and station from 1947. The railway station still remains today; however, it is on private land.
