Maders photo Kit Hill
Kit Hill, at 334 metres high, is one of five Marilyn hills in Cornwall. The word ‘Kit’ comes from Old English for kite, a reference to birds of prey. Buzzards and sparrowhawks can still be seen on the hill.

Linkinhorne (in Cornish Lanngynhorn) is a civil parish and village in southeast Cornwall. The parish population at the 2011 census including Downgate was 1,541. The village itself is situated at grid reference SX 320 736.
