St Mary’s Church, Westham St Mary’s Church, Westham, East Sussex, is an active Anglican parish church. The earliest fabric in the church dates from the late 11th century. The north aisle and the tower were added to the church in the late 14th century. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building.

Pevensey Castle Built around 290 AD and known to the Romans as Anderitum, the fort appears to have been the base for a fleet called the Classis Anderidaensis. It was reoccupied between 1940 and 1945 by units from the Home Guard, British and Canadian armies and the United States Army Air Corps.

Anderitum Anderitum (also Anderida or Anderidos) was a Roman fort in the Roman province of Britannia. The fort was built in the 290s and was abandoned after it was sacked in 471. It was re-inhabited by Saxons and Normans built a castle in the 11th century. During the Second World War pillboxes were built into the Roman walls.
