Newton Tors The Newton Tors are large, free-standing residual masses (rock outcrop) that form the western rim of the Great Moor which runs from Wooler into the Cheviot Hills. The summit is at 537 metres (1,762 ft) which classifies it as a Dewey.

Coupland Castle Coupland Castle is a tower house built in the late 16th century. It is a Grade I listed building. The castle is situated 4 miles (6 km) to the north-west of Wooler, Northumberland.
