Stowe, Kilkhampton
Stowe House was a mansion built in 1679 by John Grenville, 1st Earl of Bath. The Grenville family were lords of the manor of Kilkhampton for many centuries. It is possible that the family’s original residence was Kilkampton Castle. It was demolished in 1739.
