West End F.C. West End Football Club is a football team, based in the Mayhill area of Swansea, Wales, Ardal Leagues South West, the third tier of the Welsh football pyramid.

Kilvey Hill transmitting station Kilvey Hill transmitting station was built by BBC in 1967 as a relay for VHF and UHF television. As built, the station did not radiate VHF FM radio, this was added later. The hill’s transmitters cater for viewers and listeners in Swansea and Neath Port Talbot area.

Kilvey Hill Kilvey Hill (Welsh: Mynydd Cilfái or Y Bigwrn) is 193 metres (633 ft) high and is classed as a Sub Marilyn. The historic name of the hill in Welsh is Y Bigrwrn, with its summit known as Pen y Bigrn.

Tir John power station Tir John power station was built in several phases from 1935 to 1944. It was converted from coal to oil-firing in 1967; it was decommissioned in 1976. It supplied electricity to the Swansea area and to the national grid.

River Neath River Neath (Welsh: Afon Nedd) is a river in south Wales running south west from the point at which its headwaters arising in the Brecon Beacons National Park converge to its mouth at Baglan Bay below Briton Ferry on the east side of Swansea Bay.

Crymlyn Bog Crymlyn Bog is a nature reserve and a Site of Special Scientific Interest of international significance, near Swansea, south Wales. It is the largest area of lowland fen in Wales and lies immediately to the eastern side of Kilvey Hill. Predatory visitors like the hen harrier, buzzard, hobby and the occasional marsh harrier visit the site regularly.
