Durocornovium was a Roman town in Britain, situated on the Roman road between Corinium Dobunnorum (Cirencester) and Calleva Atrebatum (Silchester) In many ways it was a typical small Roman town.

Coate Water is a country park situated 5 km (3.1 mi) to the southeast of central Swindon, England. It takes its name from a reservoir originally built to provide water for the Wilts & Berks Canal. The reservoir formed a 70-acre (280,000 m) lake, built in 1822 by diverting the River Cole. Swimming in the lake has been prohibited since 1958.

Day House Lane Stone Circle was one of at least seven stone circles known to have been erected in the area south of Swindon in northern Wiltshire. Five partly buried stones remain at the site. Ring was part of a tradition of stone circle construction that spread throughout much of Britain, Ireland, and Brittany during the Late Neolithic and Early Bronze Age.

St Andrew’s Church is in the village of Wanborough in north Wiltshire. It is one of only three churches in England to have a western tower and central spire. It has been designated a Grade I listed building by English Heritage.

Foxhill motocross circuit is situated near to the small village of Foxhill, around six miles south east of Swindon, Wiltshire. Established in the late 1980s, much of the circuit winds up and down the steep banks of the valley, with a number of large man-made jumps.
