The reservoir formed a 70-acre (280,000 m) lake, built in 1822 by diverting the River Cole. Swimming in the lake has been prohibited since 1958.

Ring was part of a tradition of stone circle construction that spread throughout much of Britain, Ireland, and Brittany during the Late Neolithic and Early Bronze Age.

Burderop Park is a Grade II* listed country manor house near Chiseldon, Wiltshire. The house was constructed in the early 17th century to a courtyard design, and was turned into a three-storey square house during the 18th century.
Chiseldon House Hotel
Chiseldon House Hotel in Wiltshire is listed in the National Heritage Register. It was built in the early 19th Century for the Browne family and continued to be used as a private residence until 1964 when it was converted to a hotel.
