Grove Ferry Picnic Area Grove Ferry Picnic Area is near Upstreet, in Kent, on the site of an old hand-drawn ferry that once crossed the River Stour. It is beside the Grove Ferry Public House, built in 1831 and now managed by Shepherd Neame.

The reserve consists of a number of different habitats that are important for wildlife. The area around Grove Ferry has been restored to wetland habitat.

Church of St Mary the Virgin, Fordwich The Church of St Mary the Virgin is a redundant Anglican church in the small town of Fordwich, Kent. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a Grade I listed building. The church is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust.
