Gotherington history
Gotherington was mentioned in the Domesday Book as Godrinton. The village was a strongly agricultural area until the mid-nineteenth century. Development of the village began in the 1880s when it was one of the first to have its own rural nurse that had been organised by Elizabeth Malleson.
