Tomen y Mur is a First Century AD Roman fort in Snowdonia, Gwynedd, Wales. It was constructed during the campaigns of governor Gnaeus Julius Agricola in AD 78. The fort stood adjacent to the Roman road known as Sarn Helen.

The Oakeley Arms Hotel is a Grade II listed hotel near Maentwrog in North Wales. The original building dates back to the 17th century and was once part of the Tan-y-Bwlch Estate. It has also been used as a post office, makeshift court house, polling station and police station.

Maentwrog was built by North Wales Power Company and supplied electricity to North Wales, Deeside and Cheshire. It exploits the water resources of the Snowdonia mountains, using water turbines to drive electricity alternators.

Trawsfynydd is the only nuclear power station in the UK to be built inland. The plant became operational in 1965 and was closed in 1991. The Welsh government arranged for the power station to be redeveloped in 2021.
