Upper Boat power station Upper Boat power station supplied electricity to Pontypridd and the wider area from 1904 to 1972. The station was decommissioned in 1972 and was demolished in 1976. It was owned and operated by the South Wales Electrical Power Distribution Company.

Taff’s Well Thermal Spring Taff’s Well thermal spring is located north of Cardiff, South Wales. It is the only thermal spring in Wales. The spring is enclosed inside a well and stone building constructed in the 19th century.

Groes-faen Groes-faen is three miles south of Llantrisant in the county borough of Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales. It is in the historic county of Glamorgan. The village began as a hamlet in the 1860s near a trade route from Cowbridge to Cardiff.

Llantrisant Castle Llantrisant Castle is a ruined castle in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Glamorgan, Wales. Only a portion of a tower and some outer walls remain standing and neglected.
