Dymock is the ancestral home of the Dymoke family who are the Royal Champions of England. The village was served by the Hereford & Gloucester Canal, opened in 1845; this closed in 1881 and the section between Ledbury and Gloucester converted into a railway line.

Gwen and Vera’s Fields Gwen and Vera’s Fields (grid reference SO696277) is a 0.28-hectare (0.69-acre) nature reserve in Gloucestershire. The site consists of two separate fields and is owned and managed by the Gloucesterhire Wildlife Trust. It was purchased by the trust in 1987 with funding help from an anonymous donor.

Preston, Forest of Dean Preston is a village, former manor and ecclesiastical parish in the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire. It is situated 22 km north-west of the city of Gloucester and 4 km south-east of Ledbury. In 1931 the parish had a population of 77, and in 1935 the parish of Preston was added to Dymock.
