The name Durleigh means wood frequented by deer. It was the seat of the historical estate of “West Bower” once held by Edward Seymour, 1st Duke of Somerset. Eight people from the parish were accused of complicity in the Monmouth Rebellion of 1685.

Scott Cinema, Bridgwater Scott Cinema is a cinema in Bridgwater, Somerset England. Built in 1936, it is notable for its Art Deco style. It was originally known as the Odeon Cinema.

Chandos Glass Cone Chandos Glass Cone in Bridgwater, Somerset, was built in 1725 as a kiln for a glassworks. After a short period of use for glassmaking the kiln was converted to the production of pottery, bricks and tiles. The remains have been scheduled as an ancient monument.

St George’s Church, Wembdon Anglican St George’s Church was founded in the 13th century in the village of Wembdon in Somerset. The current building dates from the 14th and 15th century but was largely rebuilt in 1868 after a fire. It is a Grade II listed building.

Church of St Michael, Enmore The Anglican Church of St Michael in Enmore dates mainly from the 15th century. Some of the fabric of the building from the 12th century, including an arched doorway, survives. It is a Grade II* listed building.
