Ystrad Peithyll
Ystrad Peithyll is the remains of a small 12th-century motte-and-bailey castle. The castle was attacked and destroyed by followers of Gruffydd ap Rhys in the early 12th century.

Goginan is about 7 miles outside Aberystwyth on the A44 between Ponterwyd and Capel Bangor. The Afon Melindwr runs through the village, and is a tributary of the Afon Rheidol.
