Siloa Chapel in Cwmefyn was built in 1866 as part of a series of churches founded by Azariah Shadrach. It was known locally as Capel Ucha (the Higher Chapel) to distinguish it from the Bethlehem Presbyterian chapel further down the village. The first minister of the church was Reverend W. Jansen Davies.

Llywernog Mine Llywernog Mine is an 18th-century silver-lead mine in Ceredigion, Wales. The first vein of galena, an ore consisting of silver and lead, was discovered around 1742. The mine was briefly active again from 1907 to 1911, when zinc was extracted.
