Church of England parish church dedicated to Saint John the Evangelist dates in part from the 12th century. Catholic Chapel of Irnham Hall was taken down and re-erected in Corby Glen as Roman Catholic church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The church and the attached presbytery are Grade II Listed buildings.

The village of Corby Glen is in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire. It lies mainly to the north of the A151, a former toll road, and to the east of the West Glen River. Until the 1950s the name of the village was simply Corby.

Northampton Sand Formation The Northampton Sand Formation dates from the early Bajocian (beginning 171.6 million years ago) Fossils found in it indicate that it formed in an extensive, shallow sea on the northwestern margin of the London-Brabant Massif.
