Milecastle 28 (Walwick) was a milecastle of the Roman Hadrian’s Wall in England. Its location is immediately to the south of the B6318 Military Road in Walwick.

Cilurnum or Cilurvum was a fort on Hadrian’s Wall mentioned in the Notitia Dignitatum. It is now identified with the fort found at Chesters (also known as Walwick Chesters) near Walwick, Northumberland, England. It was built in 123 AD, just after the wall’s completion.

Tynedale is an area and former local government district in south-west Northumberland, England. The district had a resident population of 58,808 according to the 2001 Census. Its main towns were Hexham, Haltwhistle and Prudhoe. It was abolished as part of the 2009 structural changes to local government.

Planetrees is an extant section of Hadrian’s Wall named after the farm located around 250 metres (270 yd) to the west. The surviving section is 35 metres (115 ft) in length.
