Catesby Tunnel Catesby Tunnel is a disused railway tunnel on the former Great Central Main Line. It is 27 feet (8.2 m) wide, 25 feet 6 inches (7.8 m) high, and 2,997 yards (2.7 km) long. The tunnel was completed in 1897 and closed in 1966 when the line was made redundant by British Rail.
