Shepshed railway station Shepshed railway station was a stop on the Charnwood Forest Railway. It was opened on 16 April 1883 as a stop between Loughborough Derby Road and Coalville East. The halt closed on 13 April 1931 when passenger services on the line were withdrawn.

Charley Priory Charley Priory was a small former priory in Leicestershire, England. It was located on the outskirts of the town of Charley in the area.

Ulverscroft Valley Ulverscroft Valley is a 110.8 hectares (274 acres) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest. The site is in five separate blocks, and two areas are nature reserves managed by the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust. Lea Meadows is owned by the LRWT and it is also a scheduled monument.

Stoneywell Stoneywell is a National Trust property in Ulverscroft, a dispersed settlement near Coalville in Charnwood Forest, Leicestershire. It was built in collaboration with Detmar Blow in 1899 for Ernest’s brother Sydney Gimson as a summer residence.
