Wreningham is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. It is situated some 3 miles (4.8 km) south east of Wymondham and 9 miles south west of Norwich. The civil parish has an area of 6.24 square kilometres and in 2001 had a population of 493 in 199 households, the population increasing to 528 at the 2011 Census. Wreningham photo Murders at Stanfield Hall
The Murders at Stanfield Hall were a notorious Victorian era double murder on 28 November 1848. Victims Isaac Jermy and his son were shot and killed on the porch and in the hallway of their mansion. The perpetrator, James Bloomfield Rush (1800–1849), their delinquent tenant-farmer, was hanged at Norwich Castle on 21 April 1849.

Wreningham photo Forehoe and Henstead Rural District
Forehoe and Henstead Rural Districts were formed under the Local Government Act 1894 based on rural sanitary districts of the same names. They lay generally south of Norwich. In 1935 the Wymondham parish of Forehoe RD was created a new Wymondsham Urban District. The remainder of Henstead RD apart from an island in the River Yare were merged. In 1974 the merged district was abolished and became part of the South Norfolk district.
