Great and Little Wigborough Great and Little Wigborough is a civil parish about 6 miles (10 km) from Colchester, in the Colchester district, in Essex, England. In 2011 the parish had a population of 246. The parish touches Layer Breton, Layer-de-la-Haye, Layer Marney, Peldon, Salcott, Tollesbury and Tolleshunt Knights.

Layer Marney Layer Marney is a village and civil parish near to Tiptree, in the Colchester borough of Essex. In 2001 the population of the civil parish was 206. The village has a Tudor palace and church called Church of St Mary the Virgin.

Oxley Meadow Oxley Meadow is a 3.2 hectare nature reserve in Tolleshunt Knights, near Tiptree in Essex. The site has two meadows which are rich in flowers, including many green winged orchids. There is also a variety of common butterfly species, and hedgerows provide nesting sites for birds such as the lesser whitethroat.

Patriarchal Stavropegic Monastery of St. John the Baptist The Patriarchal Stavropegic Monastery of St John the Baptist is a monastic community for both men and women. It is located in Tolleshunt Knights, near Maldon, Essex, and is the oldest Orthodox religious community in the UK. The community is distinctive in that it is a double monastery, consisting of both women and men.
