Segontium Segontium (Old Welsh: Cair Segeint) is a Roman fort on the outskirts of Caernarfon in Gwynedd, North Wales. It was garrisoned by Roman auxiliaries from present-day Belgium and Germany. The fort survived until the end of the Roman occupation of Britain.
