Stourbridge history
Stourbridge was listed in the 1255 Worcestershire assize roll as Sturbrug or Sturesbridge. The medieval township was named for a bridge which crossed the River Stour. It lay within the manor of Swynford or Suineford (now Old Swinford)

Wychbury Obelisk
Hagley Obelisk stands close to the summit of Wychbury Hill in Hagley, Worcestershire . Visible for miles around, and accessible from public footpaths, it was for a while connected with a murder victim discovered on the nearby Lyttelton estate .
Round Oak Steelworks
Round Oak Steelworks was an important steel production plant in Brierley Hill, West Midlands (formerly Staffordshire), England. It was founded in 1857 by Lord Ward, who later became, in 1860, The 1st Earl of Dudley, as an outlet for pig iron made in the nearby blast furnaces. During the Industrial Revolution, the majority of iron-making in the world was carried out within 32 kilometres of Round Oak.

Dudley Town Football Club is one of the oldest non-league teams in the Midlands region, having been established in 1888. They are members of the Midland League Division One, although they have reached as high as the Premier Division of the Southern League. In 1976 they reached the first round proper of the FA Cup, when they took Football League Third Division team York City to a replay.

The Red House Cone is a glass cone located in Wordsley in the West Midlands. It is a 90-foot (27 m) high conical brick structure with a diameter of 60 feet (18 m) It is the best preserved of only four such structures in the UK and is maintained as a museum by Dudley Council.
