Placed on the site of an 8th century Saxon church also dedicated to St Peter, it was built in the 13th, 14th and 15th centuries. It was heavily restored and partially rebuilt in the 19th century. English Heritage has listed it at Grade II* for its architectural and historical importance.

Fountain Inn, Ashurst The Fountain Inn is a 16th-century public house in the village of Ashurst, in the Horsham district of West Sussex. It was converted into the village inn and extended and given a Georgian façade in the 18th century. English Heritage has listed the building at Grade II for its architectural and historical importance.
