Rhoose (electoral ward)
Rhoose is the name of an electoral ward in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. The ward elects two county councillors to the Vale. The population of the ward was 6,907 in the 2011 census.
Aberthaw Lime Works
Aberthaw Lime Works is a derelict structure, located on the South Wales coast. It was built to utilise the huge number of Limestone Pebbles that had previously been taken inland or been moved by boat. The Lime Works operated until 1926. The local limestone and brick structure is largely intact, although it is missing most of its wooden components.
The Bulwarks, Porthkerry
The Bulwarks, Porthkerry is a promontory fort in Rhoose, Vale of Glamorgan, Wales overlooking the Bristol Channel. It probably dates to the Iron Age and continued to be occupied during the Roman period in Britain. The ramparts and ditches along the west side are well preserved, but the fortifications are heavily overgrown.
