Porthclais history
Porthclais harbour was built in the 12th century, importing coal and timber. The largely intact old harbour wall may have been built by the Romans, and the harbour was mentioned in the mediaeval Mabinogion. Diocese of St Davids The Diocese of St Davids is a diocese of the Church in Wales. It covers Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Clegyr Boia Clegyr Boia is a prehistoric site on the St David’s peninsula, Pembrokeshire, Wales, 33 to 65 feet (10 to 20 m) above the surrounding area. The hilltop’s rocky outcrop contains evidence of Neolithic and Iron Age settlements. The outcrop became the stronghold of a 6th-century CE Irish pirate named Boia.
Trefeiddan Moor Trefeiddan Moor is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (or SSSI) in Pembrokeshire, South Wales. The site has an area of 21.61 hectares (53.4 acres) and is managed by Natural Resources Wales.
St Justinian’s Chapel St Justinian’s Chapel in Pembrokeshire, Wales, is now a roofless shell. The current structure was probably erected in the 16th century on earlier foundations. The chapel is a Grade I listed building.
