Penally history
Trefloyne (formerly Trellwyn) is an ancient manor, the seat of the Bowen family, and marked as a separate parish on a 1578 map. The Black Rock Quarry, between Penally and Tenby, provided heavy industry in the area during the nineteenth century. Twelve large limekilns were built on a branch line c.1865. After World War II heavy industry made way for tourism, with the Kiln Park camping and caravan resort being developed.

Caldey Abbey is an abbey of the Trappists situated on Caldey Island off the coast of Pembrokeshire, Wales, south of Tenby. The current abbey was built in 1910 by Anglican Benedictine monks. As of 2018, there are about 10 members and are known for lavender perfume and shortbread.
