Early settlement
The village of Llansaint developed around a cemetery in the 5th and 6th centuries. The holy well of Ffynnonsaint indicates an early Christian settlement. The church was built in the 12th century, and a tower was added in the 14th century.

Llansteffan
Llansteffan, is a village and community situated on the south coast of Carmarthenshire, Wales, lying on the estuary of the River Tywi. The population of the community was 941 in 2011 which includes the village population of 424. Iscoed, Ferryside, Carmarthenshire, Wales is a ruined eighteenth century mansion attributed to the architect Anthony Keck. Constructed for Sir William Mansel in 1772, it was purchased by the Napoleonic general Sir Thomas Picton as an incomplete shell in 1812.
