The site shows the remnants of nine courtyard houses, of a type only found on the Land’s End peninsula and Isles of Scilly. During the Iron Age there was a lot of activity in the area, and a few miles from Gulval, are the remains of the Chysauster settlement.

There is a war memorial located in Gulval Church’s cemetery, with 18 soldiers from WWI and 10 from WWII. There is also a memorial to 18 soldiers who were killed in World War One.

Newlyn Art Gallery Newlyn Art Gallery is a contemporary art gallery located in Newlyn, Cornwall, UK. Trinity House National Lighthouse Museum Trinity House National Lighthouse Centre was a museum in Penzance, Cornwall, UK which housed the national collection of Trinity House. In 2005 Trinity House announced the museum’s closure and relocation of the collection to Plymouth. Trinity House confirmed that they would not be relocating the collection in 2009.

Penzance A.F.C. Penzance Association Football Club was established in 1888. They were founding members of the South Western League in 1951. They currently play in the South West Peninsula League Premier Division West.
